Gayeshwar indicted in corruption case
The Divisional Special Judge's Court of Dhaka yesterday indicted BNP leader and former State Minister for Environment and Forest Gayeshwar Chandra Roy in a corruption case, court officials said, reports BSS.
Judge Mohammad Fazlul Karim has framed the charge after hearing the prosecution and the defence lawyers and fixed February 13 for examining the prosecution witnesses. Gayeshwar was present during the indictment.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau filed the case against Gayeshwar accusing him of wasting government money amounting to taka more than 14 lakh by misusing power.
