Floating bodies of father, son recovered

The floating bodies of a man and his son drowned in the Meghna River were recovered Sunday, two days after their missing.

The victims were identified as Abdul Aziz Bepari, 45, of village Lalpur in Sadar upazila, and his son Mohammad Deen Islam, 12.

Family sources said Abdul Aziz and Deen Islam went to the river along with six other neighbours in a boat for fishing Friday night.

Abdul Aziz and Deen Islam drowned while the six fishermen managed to swim ashore when their boat capsized after being hit by a launch due to dense fog on the night.
