Ferry service suspended for 2 hours

The authority of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) suspended the ferry service on Paturia-Daulatdia route for two hours from 4:00pm yesterday.
BIWTC Deputy General Manager SM Shahadat Hossain said they had kept the ferry service stopped to avert any untoward incident as local people clashed with the members of Hefajat-e Islam at Daulatdia at about 4:00pm.
