Fake PhDs on sale!

Police are investigating an Indian university in Shillong suspected of issuing fake PhDs after it awarded more than 400 doctorates in a single year, officers said yesterday.
The Times of India reported Monday that PhDs from CMJ were on sale for between $4,000-10,000, with the amount paid determining how quickly the qualification would be granted.
Credentials fraud is a serious problem in India, fuelled by a huge demand for qualifications.
