Locals captured two vultures of a nearly extinct species from Hatpara village and Valukai village of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila Monday. Forest officials in the district brought the vultures to Singara Jatiya Udyan, a wildlife sanctuary maintained by the Dinajpur Divisional Forest Office, under Birganj upazila in Dinajpur district on Tuesday.
