Ex-leader of SCF dies

CHITTAGONG, Jan 1: Joyjeet Barua, a former president of Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, Chittagong University chapter, died of brain hemorrhage at Chittagong Medical College Hospital this afternoon. He was 34, reports BSS.

Ex-vice-president of Shah Amanat Hall of Chittagong University, late Barua is survived by his parents, host of relatives, political colleagues and well-wishers to mourn his death.

A member of the district committee of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD), Chittagong unit, Joyjeet was admitted to a city clinic on Thursday last following indisposition. He died this afternoon at Chittagong Medical College Hospital where he was shifted for further treatment.

The mortal remains of Joyjeet Barua, only son of his parents, will be taken to his village home at Dabua of Raojan thana for cremation.
