Ensure opportunities for people with disabilities

Speakers at a seminar at Rajshahi University yesterday urged the government to ensure more opportunities for people with disabilities.
National Forum of Organizations Working with the Disabled (NFOWD) and the law department of the university jointly organised the seminar titled "Jatisangha Protibondhi Byactiborger Odhikar Sonod Porichiti" at the department's gallery room. They said disabled people should not be pitied as they can do anything if they get opportunities.
The government should ensure the rights of disabled people and enable them to contribute to the country. Dr Nafees Rahman, director of NFOWD, and Prof Ahsanul Kabir, chairman of the law department, spoke among others.
