DRU condemns stabbing of Ittefaq newsman

Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) has condemned the stabbing of Shafiqul Kabir, a former DRU president and special correspondent of the daily Ittefaq, by muggers in the city.

Issuing a joint statement yesterday the DRU president M Anwarul Haq and general secretary Monwarul Islam also demanded immediate arrest of the culprits and exemplary punishment.

In a separate statement the DRU leaders also condemned killing of Saidul Alam, the younger brother of DRU member Waliur Alam, by miscreants.
