Delicate Curls and Exquisite Charms

delicate curlsGot curls? I do, and I know all the troubles they can give to you, starting from tangles to the uncontrollable frizz. Letting them loose can unleash a heavy puff ball on your head. Wind can certainly multiply the disaster by a hundred times! Most curls end up being burned and fried during the process of ironing or rebonding. Did you think you might ever be able to tame these curls? I bet you did, but soon gave up, realising how hard that could be.
A majority of shampoo and oil commercials only highlight the beauty of straight locks, leaving the population with curly hair insecure. Little do they realise the enchantment of their twirls. Straight hair can appear monotonous as there are no twists in them while curls never bore you. Each lock bends itself into a perfect helix which is unique from the next one. They are mischievous. They bounce, jump, hop, and eventually get themselves tangled up. But that doesn't put an end to their charm. The beauty of curls is in the variety. No two people have the same ones. They each have a unique personality. Some spiral gracefully down your back while some have each strand coiled up from tip to toe.
Whatever type they are, curls are expensive to maintain. They cannot tolerate rough handling and neglect. Ignoring them can result in outrageous damage. However, treating them in the right way will bring out the natural elegance in them.
So people with curls, learn to define your hair. Try not to upset them. You can easily avoid frizz by deep conditioning and using milder shampoos that do not contain sulphate. They will become much easier to deal with. Hydrated curls are happy curls. Try using products that enhance your curls rather than focusing on how to destroy them with ironing machines.
Remember, everyone has unique curls so you are the only one who can find out how to handle yours. It took me fifteen year before I discovered what to do with mine. Good luck, all the curly haired ones!
