Danish minister arrives tomorrow
Danish Minister for Development Cooperation Christian Friis Bach is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka tomorrow on a three-day visit.
In his first visit, Bach will take a look at the results achieved by Danish development cooperation with Bangladesh in the last 40 years and discuss the outline of future cooperation, the Danish embassy in Dhaka said in a statement yesterday.
Bach is set to meet with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Finance Minister AMA Muhith, other ministers, civil society leaders, businesspeople and beneficiaries of Danish development assistance around the country.
The Danish minister along with his delegation will also visit the DANIDA-supported development projects working in agriculture, rural roads and governance in Barisal and Barguna.
He will also visit the One Stop Crisis Centre at the Chittagong Medical College, a government-driven facility providing a broad range of services to female victims of violence, and the Asian University for Women in the port city.
