Cricketers to boycott Dhaka Premier League
Bangladeshi cricketers on Monday announced to boycott the upcoming Dhaka Premier League protesting its new payment system.
Debaprata Paul, secretary of Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB), in a press conference at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium said all national and domestic payers will boycott the league.
They also demanded that the authorities concerned pay the dues to the cricketers of the Bangladesh Premier League before the start of the league.
Debaprata also stated the cricket board is yet to talk to the players regarding the changes in the bylaws of the league this year.
Nizamuddin Chowdhury, acting CEO of Bangladesh Cricket Board, told The Daily Star that the board would look into the matter once CWAB officially places its demands.
