CPA recovered 35 Kathas of land
Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) recovered 35 kathas of its land and evicted illegal occupants from the northeast side of the port connecting road in the port city of Chittagong on Monday.
During the five-hour long eviction drive, the CPA recovered the land worth about TK 7 crore. They evicted an unauthorised vast agricultural farm and an office of the truck workers from that land, CPA sources said.
Magistrate Mohammad Munir Chowdhury with the help of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) and CPA eviction squads conducted the drive.
Sources said the CPA evicted the unauthorised structures to ensure security of the CPA residential area. The residents of the area filed allegation against the illegal structures.
