4 top police officials promoted to supernumerary grade 1 posts

The government has promoted four additional inspector general of police (IGP) ranked officials of Bangladesh Police to four supernumerary grade 1 posts.

The four police officials were promoted after the four supernumerary grade 1 posts were created against the grade 2 additional inspector general post in Bangladesh Police, according to DMP news portal.

The police wing-3 of the home ministry today issued a circular regarding creation of the supernumerary grade 1 posts temporarily and promotion of the four top officials.

The four officials are Chief of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Sheikh Himayet Hossain, Principal of Sarda, Rajshahi Mohammad Nazibur Rahman, Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) Benazir Ahmed and Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia.

The top police officials have long been demanding creation of the supernumerary posts.
