Coronavirus outbreak: 3 families in Tangail under isolation
Local administration today enforced isolation of three families -- comprising 12 members -- at a village in Basail upazila of Tangail as one of the families took shelter in the village after recently fleeing from the area in Dhaka's Mirpur that is under lockdown.
The families are from Jahangirnagar village in the upazila, reports our Tangail correspondent.
Basail Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shamsunanahar Swapna said that a man along with his family members fled from a building in Dhaka's Mirpur area that is under lockdown, and have been staying at the house of his father-in law in Jahangirnagar village for five days.
On information, Basail Upazila Assistant Commissioner (land) Mohammad Fazle Elahi rushed to the spot and enforced their isolation.
All the families were directed not to leave their houses, the UNO added.
