Road accidents kill three, injure four
At least three persons were killed and four others injured in separate road accidents across the country in last two days.
In Thakurgaon, motorcyclist Babul Kumar died after a Farabari-bound tractor hit his motorcycle on Thakurgaon-Farabari road in sadar upazila yesterday, reports our correspondent.
Locals rushed him to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
In Dinajpur, Tota Mia was killed and 4 others injured as a passenger bus hit a battery run easy bike in Kalai upazila of Joypurhat on Friday, police said.
The accident took place when a speeding bus hit an easy bike on Joypurhat-Bogura road leaving Tota dead on spot and injuring 4 others. They were taken to a local hospital.
Meanwhile, college student Rahmatullah Mondol, 17, was also killed on spot after his motorcycle lost control and hit a standing truck in Trimohine area on Jhenidah-Chuadanga road on Friday, police said.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
