Killed for Tk 20!

A youth died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital yesterday, three days after he had been beaten allegedly by his lender.

Shahin Hossain, 30, a day labourer, borrowed Tk 20 from one of his co-villagers a few days ago, said police.

On Wednesday, the lender wanted the money but Shahin could not pay, said Azim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Ishwardi Police Station.

Out of anger, the man along with his associates beat Shahin indiscriminately in Shahpur Poshchimpara village of Ishwardi upazila, said the OC.
