Journo Abdul Motin Fakir dies

Abdul Motin Fakir, district correspondent of English daily The Independent in Faridpur, passed away at Faridpur Diabetes Hospital on Tuesday, aged 78.

He had been suffering from lung cancer for a long time.

Motin left behind his wife, three sons, a daughter and a host of relatives, colleagues and well-wishers to mourn his death.

He was laid to rest in Alipur graveyard in Faripdur town yesterday.
