China urges constructive dialogue
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jun
China today called upon major political parties of Bangladesh to engage in a peaceful and constructive dialogue to find a solution to current crisis.
After a meeting with newly appointed Foreign Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali, Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka Li Jun told reporters that as a developing country China fully understands social and political stability is a must for a nation’s development and also as a near neighbour.
“We strongly believe a stable, peaceful, prosperous and independent Bangladesh is a fundamental interest of the Bangladeshi people," he said.
“As a traditional friend, China sincerely called the major political parties in Bangladesh to find a solution for the current crisis through a peaceful dialogue.”
He also said China expects a constructive outcome.
“We believe any kind of constructive and patience dialogue can find a solution for Bangladesh,” he said.
