Inflation went down in August

Inflation went down during the month of August due to a falling prices of food items.

According to the statistics obtained today, the inflation during the month of August was 5.48 per cent, what came down from 5.54 per cent during July.

Prices of food items dropped from 6.18 per cent in July to 5.97 per cent in August. Prices of non-food items increased to 4.73 per cent from 4.49 per cent in July.
