BSF picks up cattle trader
Border Security Force (BSF) of India picked up a Bangladeshi national from Bhaigarh border under Birampur upazila yesterday morning.
The man was identified as Md. Sanwar Hossain 45, son of Abdus Samad of Kesabpur village [Katla Bazaar] under the upazila.
BGB sources said, Sanwar was a cattle trader who used to bring cattle from India.
Witnesses said, when Sanwar went to Bhaigarh border area to bring cattle from India, the BSF of 96 Bhimpur in India picked him up and took him into Indian territory at around 9:15am.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) of Phulbari 40 Battalion yesterday sent a protest note to BSF and urged it to return him as early as possible.
