Boy drowns in canal

A boy drowned in a canal of the capital's Jatrabari yesterday afternoon.
The deceased was Hafijur Momin, 4, son of rickshaw puller Abdul Momin.
Witnesses told The Daily Star that Momin had fallen into the canal while he was playing with four other boys beside the water body.
On information, the victim's mother rescued him and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on duty doctor declared him dead.
