Boy dies as parapet falls on him

An eight-year-old boy was killed and two other children were injured when a part of a parapet of a three-storey building collapsed on them in the capital's Uttar Badda yesterday.
The deceased was Modabbir Hossain Sabbir, a class-I student of Wonder Dream International School.
Modabbir was playing with his sister Samia Sultana and friend Tariqul Islam on a roof of a one-storey building when the parapet of the adjacent new building partially collapsed on them, said Badda police.
Modabbir was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Samia and Tariqul are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
