Blasts rock B'baria district town

A series of cocktail blasts rocked Brahmanbaria district town on Monday night.
Witnesses said the explosions took place following an altercation between two customers and the owner of Jhalak Jewellers at Keydas intersection in the town at around 8:45pm.
After a few minutes, a gang of criminals arrived at the place and exploded cocktails in front of the jewellery shop.  The gang then exploded cocktails at Sarak Bazaar, Janata Market, Kapuria Potty and Sarna Potty.
People in these areas ran helter-skelter for safety while shop owners pulled shutters down. Townspeople said the gang blasted at least 50 cocktails at the five important places.
Contacted, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Zahidul Islam said a gang exploded 12 cocktail in front of Jhalak jewellery shop. Police rushed to the spot and arrested one of the gang members with five cocktails. Police have been deployed on the spots.
