Biman starts direct Hajj flight from Ctg
The Bangladesh Biman started its direct Hajj flight from Chittagong to Jeddah yesterday. The flight carrying 274 pilgrims on board left Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong at 1:25pm.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mir Muhammad Nasir Uddin inaugurated the flight.
The Biman will operate 10 flights to carry the Hajj pilgrims from Chittagong this year.
Air Commodore (retd) Lutfor Rahman, MD of Biman, Air Commodore Jahed Kuddus, chairman of Civil Aviation authorities, and other high officials and local dignitaries were present on the occasion.
