BFFEA expresses concern over US decision
Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association (BFFEA) Sunday expressed their grave concern over the US decision to include Bangladesh in the list of terror-risk countries.
In a statement, BFFEA President Salahuddin Ahmed said the travel restrictions imposed by the US government might create problems for Bangladesh exporters intending to participate in the upcoming Boston International Sea Food Show.
He said that the new restriction would encourage the US buyers to divert their interest from Bangladesh to other countries in establishing business.
The BFFEA president urged all irrespective of party affiliation to work together to overcome the problems by raising their voice that as a moderate democratic country, Bangladesh is working against terrorism.
He also called on the US government to reconsider the decision in view of the long-term bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries.
