'BCL men' beat JCD leader at JU

A Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader was seriously injured in an attack allegedly by Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists on Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus yesterday.
Rejaul Karim Raju, JCD JU unit joint general secretary, and student of history department, is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Witnesses said a group of BCL activists attacked Rejaul with sharp weapons and rods before the university main gate.
However, Mahmudur Rahman Jony, BCL JU unit president, at a press conference denied the allegation.
JCD activists of the university in a statement said they would start non-stop demonstrations if the responsible BCL men were not punished within 72 hours.
