Basic Bank earns Tk 50cr profit
Basic Bank, a state-owned scheduled bank, earned a Tk 50 crore profit during the year 2002, says a press release.
The profit has registered a growth of 21 per cent over the last year. The bank achieved a cracking 27 per cent growth in loans and advances over the outstanding balance of December 31, 2001.
Loans and advances stood Tk 796 crore at end of year 2002.
At the same period the bank's deposit increased by 33 per cent to Tk 989 crore compared to last year.
