Barguna Zila Parishad office ransacked
BARGUNA, Jan 4: The Zila Parishad office was ransacked allegedly by a group of BCL activists today, reports UNB.
Witnesses said they became agitated when the lottery of the tender for work order went against them.
Zila Parishad secretary and additional district magistrate Abul Hossain said the lottery of the tender for the work of group-29 took place at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room in the morning.
Failing to get the work, a group of 20/25 youths, allegedly activists of ruling party's student front Chhatra League, attacked the Bhaban at 1 pm and damaged its chair, table, telephone set, and other valuables.
The attackers also tore the valuable documents, including the old register, ACR files of the officers and employees, service book and cheque book.
