Students of several schools and colleges yesterday continued their protests demanding safe roads, justice for victims of road crashes and half public transport fares for students all across the country.

Around 11:30am, police obstructed a student rally in Nilkhet which proceeded towards the Prime Minister's Office to

submit a memorandum containing six-point demand.

Students said they would march towards the PMO again from Nilkhet on December 19.

Meanwhile, another group of students distributed leaflets to commuters, pedestrians and policemen in Rampura Bridge area around 3:30pm to raise awareness about their 11-point demand.

They will hold a solidarity rally near the bridge at 3:00pm on Saturday, participated by students, teachers, workers and guardians.

Meanwhile, another group of students under the banner of "Nirapad Sarak Andolon" will hold a protest rally at Central Shaheed Minar today where family members of the victims in road accidents would take part.

রাখাইনে ‘মানবিক করিডর’ প্রসঙ্গে বিএনপি মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীর বলেছেন, ‘আমরা আরেকটা গাজায় পরিণত হতে চাই না। আর যুদ্ধ দেখতে চাই না।’
