Ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route resumed around 11:45am today after being suspended for five hours due to dense fog.

BIWTC Deputy General Manager of Aricha Office Shah Md Khaled Newaz said when the fog level increased around 6:45 am, the ferry service was stopped to avoid accidents, reports our Manikganj correspondent.

Ferry services returned to normal around 11:45am when the fog subsided, he said.

During the suspension, there was a build-up of passengers and vehicles on both sides of the route.

At present, 12 ferries are operating on the route.
