“We are fighting to get democracy back”: Fakhrul tells BNP Faridpur rally

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam today (November 12, 2022) said the people are fighting to get their voting rights and democracy back.

"Our back is against the wall and we are fighting to get back people's voting rights and democracy," he said while speaking at the BNP rally at the Abdul Aziz Institution ground this afternoon.

"We have to fight against the government's oppression. The people of the country will not accept anything other than a caretaker government," the BNP leader added.

"The Awami League government has to step down and hand over power to a caretaker government. That caretaker government will have to form a new Election Commission and under that EC the national election will be held," he also said.
