Sayedee's death: 20 more BCL men suspended over FB post

Twenty leaders and activists of Chhatra League's Naogaon and Khulna units were suspended for Facebook posts on the death of Jamaat leader and war criminal Delwar Hossain Sayedee.
A press release, signed by Naogaon district BCL President Sabbir Rahman Rezvi and General Secretary Amanuzzaman Seul, confirmed the suspension of 14 leaders and activists of the student front.
"They have been suspended over allegations of engaging in activities that contradicts the organisation's policies and ideals."
The suspended BCL men include Atrai upazila unit joint general secretaries Faizul Islam and Mahathir Mohammad Tufan; organising secretaries Amanullah Faruk alias Bachchu and Raihan Sobhan alias Russell; and Naogaon Sadar upazila unit Organising Secretary Mominul Islam Sagar.
Meanwhile, another press release signed by Khulna BCL President Parvez Hawlader and General Secretary Imran-e-Hasan said six Chhatra League leaders and activists have been suspended.
The six include district BCL Deputy Health Affairs Secretary Irtajul Gazi, Terkhada upazila unit Vice President Rony Fakir, Organising Secretary SM Hasibur Rahman, Dumuria upazila unit Vice President BBA Kajal and Paikgachha upazila unit Joint General Secretary Sabbir Hossain.
Sayedee, 83, was sentenced to death in 2013 for rape, murder, and persecution of members of Hindu community during the Liberation War.
The convicted war criminal, whose sentence was later reduced to "imprisonment till death", died on August 14 from heart attack.
