Oct 28 will be the end of BNP
BNP's movement to topple the government will drown in the Buriganga on October 28, said Information Minister Hasan Mahmud yesterday.
While addressing an event at Chattogram Shilpakala Academy, he said October 28 will be the end of BNP.
Mentionable, BNP will hold a grand rally in the capital on October 28.
"BNP wants to start the journey to topple the government on October 28. But on December 10 last year, they wanted to do the same from in front of the Nayapaltan office. But their movement died at Golapbagh cattle market," he said.
In fact, BNP wants to hold a picnic on October 28 in the name of movement, he added.
BNP got permission for its December 10 rally last year in Golapbagh field -- a ground which was not its first choice by any means. The permission came at the cost of a life, injuries to around 100 people, and arrest of dozens of party stalwarts.
