BNP's Nayapaltan office has opened after four days, as all the barricades were removed from the road in front of the office a day after the party's Dhaka rally.

The office had remained locked since Wednesday's clash between BNP men and police, which left one dead and scores others injured. Since then, law enforcers didn't allow anyone to enter the office.

Today, all the barricades and barbed-wire fences on both sides of the road from Fakirapool to the Nightingale intersection were removed.

BNP's acting office secretary Emran Saleh Prince, along with several lawyers, entered the office around 1:00pm.

"It's hard to believe that police can resort to such vandalism. Nothing remains intact. Police have taken away all the CPUs," he told The Daily Star.

Prince said they are now preparing a list of missing items.

"Our money was looted. Our election-related documents were taken away... even chairs and tables were vandalised."
