BNP's Dec 10 rally will be at Nayapaltan: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today said they will hold their December 10 rally in front of the party's central office at Nayapaltan.
Amid much tension and speculations over the programme, he reiterated this during a press conference at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan office this afternoon.
"It is the responsibility of the government to ensure that the rally is held peacefully. We will consider a suitable alternative venue if the government makes a proposal," he said.
The BNP leader stated that the government will be held responsible if any untoward incident occurs at the programme.
"Police attacked BNP leaders and activists without any provocation. Such a cowardly attack is unimaginable. Police entered the BNP office with bombs in a cement bag," said Fakhrul.
Police vandalised furniture and valuables of the office and took away important documents of the party, he said.
