AL office lively while BNP headquarters padlocked

While ruling Awami League's central office on the Bangabandhu Avenue is filled with party men, the situation at BNP headquarters in the capital's Nayapaltan area is completely different as it remains padlocked.
Though thousands of BNP men gathering at the Golapbagh field to join today's much-talked about rally, none were able to visit the party office as law enforcers earlier blocked both the entrance roads leading to the office.
In the morning, correspondents of this newspaper, who tried to reach BNP office, found that police put barricades on the road from Nightingale intersection to Fakirerpool intersection preventing vehicles and pedestrians from moving through the area.
At 11:45am, journalists were allowed to enter the road through the Nightingale intersection. They were allowed to go in front of the BNP office.
The presence of law enforcers was significant in front of the office.
