Sufia Chowdhury passes away

Sufia Chowdhury, wife of retired professor Abdul Mannan, breathed her last at her residence in Sarishabari upazila of Jamalpur on Tuesday. She was 72.

She left behind her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren to mourn her death. Sufia Chowdhury is the mother of Pallab Mohaimen, head of New Initiative at Prothom Alo.

She was laid to rest at the central graveyard of Sharishabari after a namaz-e-janaza on Tuesday evening.

Jatiya Press Club and Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum expressed their condolences.
