Shahid Uddin Eskander’s death anniv

The 44th death anniversary of Shahid Uddin Eskander (Kochi), an organiser of the 1971 Liberation War, member of Constituent Assembly, president of Noakhali District Awami League and chairman of Noakhali Pourashava, will be observed today, said a press release.

On the occasion, different political, cultural, social and sports organisations, and his family have arranged a doa mahfil in Noakhali after Zohr prayers.

Eskander was also the founder president of Noakhali Press Club and Noakhali District Chamber of Commerce and Industries, secretary of Noakhali District Sports Association, and chairman of Noakhali District Red Cross.
