Noorjahan Begum passes away
Noorjahan Begum, mother of BNP's assistant training affairs secretary and former MP Rehana Akter Ranu, died yesterday. She was 78.
She suffered a heart attack on Thursday and breathed her last around 11:45am yesterday while undergoing treatment at a city hospital, Ranu told the news agency.
Noorjahan left behind her five sons, four daughters and a host of relatives to mourn her death.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep shock at her death. In a condolence message, Fakhrul prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and conveyed his profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
