Death anniv of Abdul Mannan observed

The 18th death anniversary of Abdul Mannan, an Awami League leader and organiser of the Liberation War, was observed in Tangail yesterday.

To mark the day, teachers, students and officials of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University -- led by Vice Chancellor Prof Farhad Hossain -- placed a wreath at the mural of Abdul Mannan at Abdul Mannan Hall in the university.

At this time, they offered prayers for the eternal peace of Mannan's soul.

Besides, a doa and milad mahfil was organised at the hall after the Esha prayers.
