Student dies after falling from Daffodil University building in Savar
A student of Daffodil International University died after falling from an academic building in Savar's Khagan area this afternoon.
The deceased was identified as ABM Toukir Tanvir, a third-year student of Computer Science and Engineering, reports our local correspondent quoting Officer-in-Charge of Savar Model Police Station, Kazi Moinul Islam.
The incident occurred at 1:40pm today at the university's academic building no-1, the OC said.
"Tanvir was seriously injured after he fell from the building. He was rushed to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him dead. The body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital for autopsy," the OC said.
Dr Syed Mizanur Rahman, director of Daffodil International University's Student Affairs, said, "The cause of Tanvir's death is unknown at this time. The police are investigating the incident."
