Padma Bridge will open to traffic in June: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that Padma Bridge will open to traffic in June this year.

"The overall progress of the Padma Bridge Project work is 92 percent," the minister said.

He was speaking at a review meeting on the progress of construction of the Padma Bridge project – held at the conference room of the Bridges Department this morning.

The minister said the progress of construction work of the main bridge is 97 percent while river regulation work, 90.50 percent.

In addition, the progress of installation work of gas pipeline is 99 percent and 400 KVA power lines is 79 percent.
