Wing Commander (retd) Mamunur Rashid, chief of security, North South University, breathed his last on November 23 at Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka.

He left behind his mother, wife, two sons, and a daughter. Commissioned in 1991, he rose to the rank of wing commander and retired from Air Force in 2018. He was buried at Uttara Sector-12 graveyard.
