JU entry tests begin
The honours first year entry test of Jahangirnagar University for the 2020-2021 session began yesterday with the presence of 66 percent candidates.
The "D" unit test started at 9am and continued till 4pm in five shifts, where around 7,000 admission-seekers participated in each shift.
"Around 66 percent of the candidates took part in the test," said Abdul Jabber Hawlader, dean of the biological sciences faculty.
JU pro vice chancellors Prof Sheikh Manzurul Huq and Prof Nurul Alam, and treasurer Prof Rasheda Akhter visited the exam centres yesterday.
The second day of D unit test is scheduled to be held today.
Meanwhile, the university authorities deferred "A" unit exam to November 20 and 21 from November 7 and 8 due to the recent transport strike.
