IUB holds peace confce

A conference on regional and global peace was held at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in Bashundhara yesterday, said a press release.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Centre for Bay of Bengal Studies at IUB organised the conference at the university's auditorium.

Addressing the event as chief guest, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam said empowered by the peaceful resolution of maritime disputes, Bangladesh is looking to benefit from the resources of Bay of Bengal. Prime Minister's adviser Gowher Rizvi and IUB VC Tanweer Hasan also spoke.
