Govt is always there for you

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday urged the businesspeople to develop new products and find new export markets utilising their innovative ideas.
"The government is always there for you," she said.
The premier was addressing the opening ceremony of the "Business Conference on Building Smart Bangladesh" at the capital's Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the country's apex trade body, hosted the three-day event focusing on the private sector's role in building Smart Bangladesh. The business leaders said Hasina's leadership is needed also in future for the country's economic development and progress.
Hasina said the Awami League never judges businesspeople by their political affiliation.
"Political affiliation of the businesspeople is not important to us. We always think about the welfare of the people of the country."
She said the government gives opportunities to all irrespective of the political affiliations.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi and Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Affairs Adviser Salman F Rahman were present, among others.
FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin delivered the welcome speech.
Foreign investors, top corporates, sector-based associations, top business leaders, and general body members from chambers and associations of the FBCCI joined the conference.
Speaking at the event, business leaders expressed their trust in Hasina's leadership.
The business leaders highlighted the development activities, especially the mega projects implemented by the incumbent government. They observed that this changed the socioeconomic situation in Bangladesh in the last 14 and a half years, which is unprecedented.
Earlier, Hasina unveiled the report on the outcome of Bangladesh Business Summit-2023.
