The first death anniversary of journalist Khandaker Muniruz-zaman was observed yesterday.

He passed away at Mugda Medical College Hospital on November 24 last year.

He was serving as the acting editor of the Daily Sangbad at the time of his demise. He started his journalism career in 1970 as a reporter of Weekly Ekota, the mouthpiece of the Communist Party of Bangladesh.

He was founding member of Trade Union Centre and later become CPB Dhaka committee general secretary. He was also famous for his columns and political analyses.
