Firefighter dies of cardiac arrest after dousing blaze in Ctg
A fire fighter of Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defence died of cardiac arrest following completion of his duty in extinguishing a fire that broke out at a chemical industry at Sagarika Industrial Area of Chattogram this afternoon.
The firefighter, Md Milan (38), hailing from Begumganj of Noakhali, felt some pain in his chest after extinguishing a fire at Homeland Chemical Industry around 11:30am, reports our Chattogram staff correspondent quoting Bahar Uddin, senior station officer of Kalurghat Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The fire broke out in the industry around 10am and soon firefighters managed to douse the blaze around 11:30am, he said.
Milan was rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital immediately and admitted to the Cardiology Department where he died around 2pm, said the station officer.
