FF Buried in India - Mortal remains to be brought home: minister

The government is mulling to bring the mortal remains of the martyred freedom fighters buried in India to Bangladesh, said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan yesterday.

He was speaking as chief guest at the inaugural programme of a Liberation War gallery at Lokayan Life Diversity Museum in Purbo Akcha of in Thakurgaon's Sadar upazila.

"Several thousands of freedom fighters died in the Bangladesh-India bordering area during Liberation War. They were buried in Indian territory," he said.

"I have informed the matter to our prime minister. She has instructed me to take measures in this regard," he added.

The home minister said they have already started working on this.
