DB will interrogate Murad if formal complaint is filed
Detectives will interrogate Murad Hassan, who resigned from the post of state minister for information today, if anyone formally files complaint against him.
Muhammad Harun Or Rashid, joint commissioner (north) of Detective Branch, said this while talking to reporters at DB office.
"As he (Murad) named DB along with other agencies in the leaked (phone) conversation, we will interrogate (over it) if needed," Harun said.
The DB official said that actor Emon came to DB office last night willingly -- to invite to his movie that's releasing soon. He also discussed issues involving the leaked conversation with Murad Hassan.
DB's cybercrime unit always conducts shadow investigation when anything goes viral on social media, he said, adding they will talk to actress Mahiya Mahi, who is now in Saudi Arabia, after she returns.
Meanwhile, Emon went to the Rab headquarters this evening after the elite force called him for interrogation regarding the leaked audio conversation.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday asked the state minister to resign from the cabinet for his offensive and derogatory remarks on women that sparked waves of criticism.
